Born in France, but fascinated with the American Southwest, Françoise Hartman's photographic explorations range from color to black and white, landscapes to architecture, travel to local studies. A firm believer in controlling the entire photographic process (from composition to output), Françoise takes meticulous care in processing her images. A self-taught art photographer, Françoise Hartman has dedicated years to study and practice her skills and artistic vision. Her work is purposely simple, and her images convey quietness. They allow the viewer to slow down and feel connected to the moment, completely and without distraction.
